BVAQ Malaysia, operating as Permulab, was established in 1996. A diversified laboratory, it plays a major role in the laboratory analysis of water, food, pharmaceutical, palm oil, cosmetics, toiletries, microbiological and environmental monitoring related activities in Malaysia.

Permulab Sdn. Bhd is accredited under Laboratory Accreditation Scheme of Malaysia (SAMM) meeting the requirements of MS ISO/ISE 17025: 2017. The accreditation covers all major aspects in the laboratory and environmental analysis. Permulab Sdn. Bhd is recognized by Department of Environmental Malaysia. It is registered by the Ministry of Health Malaysia for product export and local market certification.

BVAQ Malaysia Water Division is led by experienced and capable chemists who are always prepared to provide analytical and technical solutions to our customers.

We can perform analysis to met your regulatory compliance requirements on a wide range of sample types including drinking, marine, mineral, ground, river and swimming pool waters, palm oil waste water and effluent, sludge and soils.

Environmental Sampling and analysis division provides a reliable environmental survey to ensure compliance of the environment management and assessment. We provide comprehensive monitoring services to help our customer to meet the requirement of EIA Assessment, Environment Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 1978 and Industrial Effluent Characteristic Study (IECS). We also provide the monitoring according to JKKP regulations, and microbiological hygiene monitoring to HACCP and indoor air monitoring requirements.

We provide monitoring services on ambient air, stationary source (air emissions), industrial hygiene, water quality and microbiological hygiene to a range of standards including the Malaysia Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations, Malaysian Ambient Air Quality Standard, the planning guidelines for Environmental Noise Limits and Control, the Malaysian Factories and Machinery Act 139, along with Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standard of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations.

As the consumer and regulatory demand for safe food increases, BVAQ Malaysia provides analytical testing services on a range of matrices to the highest standards that help ensure you meet these stringent requirements.

Products that can be tested include meat and meat products, confectionery, beverages, dairy products, eggs, seafood, fats and oils, flour and wheat products, fruit and vegetables and ready-to-eat foods along with oral, rectal, oromucosal, gingival, cutaneous, nasal, vaginal auricular and inhalation use, along with transdermal patches.

We test compliance to the Malaysia Food Act 1983 & Regulations 1985, the National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau (Biro Pengawalan Farmaseutikal Kebangsaan – BPFK), Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority Singapore (AVA) standards and the food safety laws and regulations of ASEAN countries.
