Bureau Veritas Singapore (BVS) - represented by Emily Liow, Strategy & Sales Director, South East Asia - has signed a trilateral memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Evercomm Singapore, one of Singapore’s fastest growing digital ESG assurance company, and Kaset Thai International Sugar Corporation Public Co Ltd (KTIS), a leading producer of sugar in Thailand, to explore possible collaborations on tracking initiatives related to environmental disclosure and compliance reporting, netzero roadmap and verification of carbon credits at the 6th Singapore-Thailand Enhanced Economic Relationship (STEER) Ministerial Meeting in Thailand.
Established by the Prime Ministers of Thailand and Singapore in 2002 to further bilateral economic co-operation, the 6th STEER Ministerial Meeting was co-chaired by Singapore’s Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, Dr Tan See Leng, and Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Jurin Laksanawisit.
As part of the MOU, BVS has been appointed as the ESG advisory and certification partner to authenticate KTIS’s carbon credits and verification requirements for Evercomm’s ESG platform.
