BV Indonesia meets key government officials from Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara (Nusantara Capital Authority)

Dec. 2 2024

BV Indonesia recently paid a visit to Indonesia's new capital city, Nusantara, to meet key government officials from Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara (Nusantara Capital Authority), marking a significant step in strengthening our relationship with the Government.

Led by Deny Panjaitan, CIF Country Chief Executive of BV Indonesia, the visit is part of a wider collaboration between Bureau Veritas and Nusantara Capital Authority to support Nusantara’s development and contribute to Indonesia’s sustainability goals. The discussions centred around green transformation and Nusantara’s efforts to incorporate ecological approaches into its development. Agus Gunawan, Director of Green Transformation at Nusantara Capital Authority, emphasised the importance of integrating Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and renewable energy solutions to enhance Nusantara’s efficiency while making the city sustainable.

The meeting also included a presentation from students of SMA Pradita Dirgantara, who presented their winning entries from our essay writing competition on sustainability-related innovations for Nusantara. Speaking about hydrogen cars for smart cities and agrivoltaic power plants, the students expressed their ideas for Nusantara Capital Authority’s eco-friendly urban planning consideration.

With Indonesia's Independence Day celebrated at the new capital city, Nusantara, for the first time this year, it has now become a symbol of Indonesia’s commitment to sustainability and modern development. Through our visit, we look forward to partnering Nusantara Capital Authority to bring the city to greater heights as a model of green infrastructure and innovative urban planning.
