PT Bureau Veritas Indonesia (BVI) and PT BKI (Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia), a state owned enterprise of the Republic of Indonesia engaged in classification, statutory survey and commercial services, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

The signing of the MOU will leverage our expertise and complement the BV Green Line, a wide range of services and solutions dedicated to Sustainability. At the same time, it allows both organisations to carry out cooperation, synergies and to utilise the competence and services of technical personnel in a wide range of areas such as Testing, Inspection, Certification, Green Economy, Carbon Emission Measurement, Building and Infrastructure, and other commercial services.

Chris Murray, Country Chief Executive of BVI, commented “The #decarbonisation of the #energy sector will bring increased energy #infrastructure development in Indonesia. This is a sector of focus particularly for BVI. Through our collaboration with BKI, we are well positioned to support our clients in achieving their #sustainability objectives. This will undoubtedly benefit our clients who want to ensure that they are compliant to international standards.”

Rudi Yanto, President Director of BKI (Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia), said "The decarbonisation initiative of companies in Indonesia is currently a core focus of the Ministry of Environment. With BKI being appointed to establish the #certification system for this initiative, it is vital that we find the right partner to share their expertise and knowledge. We are therefore pleased to collaborate with Bureau Veritas, a leader in this industry, which will allow us to conform to the highest international standards.”
