BVBI Singapore appointed by LTA to perform Site Supervision for the North South Corridor Project

Jun. 2 2022

The North South Corridor (NSC) is Singapore‘s first integrated and longest transport priority corridor. Expected to be completed by 2027, it is 21.5km long and connects the northern part of Singapore to the East Coast Parkway (ECP) and will feature dedicated bus lanes, cycling trunk routes and pedestrian paths. The NSC is a highly complex and challenging project with viaduct tunnels crisscrossing the existing Circle Line & East West Line bored tunnels, which is nestled within existing buildings, infrastructures and utilities.

Bureau Veritas Building & Infrastructure (BVBI) Singapore is proud to be appointed by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore (LTA) to perform qualified person (QP) Site Supervision on their behalf to ensure construction works are carried out safely (for both the site team and the general public) while meeting design requirements and completing the project on time. 31 #BVTrustMakers have been deployed to render support to LTA, appointed contractors and key stakeholders on a daily basis.

On 1st June 2022, Vincent Bourdil (BV Senior Vice President, CIF SEA & CIF PAC) & Lo Adrian (BV Country Chief Executive, CIF Singapore), visited the North South Corridor N1011 site which is the NSC viaduct tunnel between ECP and Victoria Street.

At the site visit, Vincent Bourdil presented Desmond Ng from the N1011 project team with the latest SPOT Award Certificate that recognises #BVTrustMakers who have gone the extra mile and exhibited exemplary performances while demonstrating our BV Values of "Trusted", "Responsible", "Ambitious & Humble", and "Open & Inclusive”. Our heartiest congratulations to Desmond Ng and thank you for stepping up beyond your call of duty!

Accompanied by Toh Choon Yang (Deputy General Manager QP & Site Supervision) and Richard Siew (Director QP & Site Supervision), Vincent Bourdil also conducted a site safety observation survey from the perimeter of the site location accessible by the general public (hence negating the need for personal protective equipment).

BV Singapore is honoured to contribute towards LTA’s mission. Kudos to NSC N1011 BV project team for the excellent work!
