Congratulations to the METROPOLITAN ELECTRICITY AUTHORITY (MEA) for attaining their ISO 38500:2015 certification in IT Governance from BV Thailand! 

The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) is a state enterprise established in 1958 that supplies electricity to Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan, ensuring reliable power while driving sustainability through energy efficiency and renewable initiatives. 

The ISO 38500:2015 standard is a globally recognised framework for the governance of IT, which establishes principles for the responsible, transparent, and strategic use of IT within an organisation. This certification demonstrates the MEA's commitment to using information technology efficiently and securely to develop sustainable electricity infrastructure in Bangkok. 

To mark this milestone, Wichit Sophitanontrat , Ph.D., BV Thailand Country Chief Executive CIF, presented the certification to Wilas Chaloeysat, Governor of the MEA in a ceremony recently.
